Holiday Shutdown 2012 Building Temperature Notification
Many campus buildings (or areas of these buildings) will have HVAC turned off over the Holiday Shutdown. The shutdown will start Friday evening, December 21, and continue through Tuesday, January 1. In general, labs and specialty areas - anything which has an exemption during the normal school year - will not be curtailed for the holidays.
These buildings have controls that scan room temperatures and restart HVAC systems temporarily if rooms are too hot or too cold. During the break, people may access these spaces, but should not expect them to be at a comfortable temperature. In some cases, interior spaces or rooms where people leave equipment running may actually get too hot, but most rooms will probably be cold.
If you have questions or concerns about these buildings, please contact Kirk Conger.
